Review- Blade Runner 2049

Blade Runner 2049s visuals are absolutely stunning, accompanied with a story that I found to be far more compelling than its predecessor, a score by none other than Hans Zimmer begging for the Oscar nom, and a cast that constantly surprises you with the emotion they portray in the bleak future world the film had portrayed. Obviously Gosling, Ford, Leto, and Wright did fantastic jobs. But I’d say the two that really steal the show would be Ana De Armas and Sylvia Hoeks. Both characters provided such different emotions throughout the film and being two names I’ve never heard of I was pleasantly surprised by their performances. Overall I found it to be a fantastic movie, it may be a bit long for some with a 2 hour 43 minutes run time, and if you’re looking for an action movie this probably isn’t what you’re looking for, yes there is some action but in no way is this considered an action film. If it doesn’t receive the Oscar nomination for best film I will be extremely surprised, a movie that I believe to take what the original did and make the sequel even better.
